The former 'NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service' star, who exited the show back in 2018, boasts about cheating death several times as she shares updates on her health.

AceShowbiz - Pauley Perrette has shared positive updates on her health journey. One year after suffering a "massive" stroke, the former "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" star said she feels "grateful" to be alive today.

Making use of Twitter on Friday, September 2, the 53-year-old shared a video of herself rocking colorful hair. Hey guys, oh my God, it's Sept 2," she kicked off the clip. "It's a one-year anniversary since I had a stroke. And I'm still here."

"Yes, I'm still here, again. How many times do I cheat death? Like I almost died from a hair dye allergy. I have food allergies, I'm a domestic violence and a rape survivor," she added. "I was assaulted by a crazy homeless person and almost died and I'm still here."

Pauley went on to note, "I'm feeling really grateful and especially for all my rescue dogs that are over there. And I'm here, I'm still here, I feel good," the further actress emphasized. "I've been through a lot in the last two years."

In the caption of the post, Pauley wrote, "One year ago I had a massive stroke. Before that I lost so many beloved family and friends, and daddy and then Cousin Wayne. Yet still a survivor after this traumatic life I've been given so far" She then continued, "And still so grateful, Still so full of faith, And STILL HERE!"

Pauley exited "NCIS" in 2018 following a 15-year stint as forensic specialist Abby Sciuto. When announcing her departure, she stated in a Twitter post, "So, it is true that I am leaving NICS after this season. There have been all kinds of false stories as to why (NO I DON'T HAVE A SKIN CARE LINE AND NO MY NETWORK AND SHOW ARE NOT MAD AT ME!)."

"It was a decision made last year. I hope everyone will love and enjoy EVERYTHING ABBY not only for the rest of this season but for everything she has given all of us for 16 years," she elaborated. "All the love, all the laughter, all the inspiration... I love her as much as you do."
