AceShowbiz - The results of the third Qualifiers of "America's Got Talent" season 17 were revealed in the Wednesday, August 24 episode. Just like the previous result episodes, the new outing featured some of the toughest eliminations as only 2 of 11 acts who performed the night before would move to the Finals.
The first 2 acts to be called to the stage were Hayden Kristal and The Cline Twins. Hayden charmed the judges and the audience during her performance and her incredible standup routine earned her a spot in the Top 5 of the night's performances.
Host Terry Crews then asked Celia Munoz and Mia Morris to come to the stage. Celia, who stunned everyone with her touching tribute to Olivia Newton-John, made it to the Top 5. The next acts to find out their fates were XOMG POP!, Funkanometry and Amanda Mammana. It was then revealed that Amanda was the one who was given a spot in the Top 5. Howie Mandel was surprised by the results, noting that he thought the results "would go differently."
MPLUSPLUS, Nicholas Ribs, Sara James as well as Jojo and Bri fought for the 2 spots left in the Top 5. After MPLUSPLUS and Nicholas were called to the stage, Terry announced that the dance crew was sent home with Nicholas advancing. Meanwhile, Sara secured the last spot in the Top 5 as Jojo and Bri were eliminated.
Before more results were announced, "America's Got Talent" season 14 winner Kodi Lee returned to the stage to perform an amazing rendition of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin' " with Teddy Swims and Journey's own Neal Schon.
Later, Terry narrowed down the Top 5 to Top 3 which included Celia, Nicholas and Sara. Only 2 of them would be joining the finalists and Sara was named to be the first act to make it to the Finals. It was down to Celia and Nicholas. The second act to advance to the Finals was Nicholas! The two will be joining Avery Dixon, Drake Milligan, Yu Hojin and Chapel Hart in season 17 Finals.
