The TV personality, who has been a regular fixture on the popular series since its launch in 2014, makes the revelation when appearing on the 'Behind the Velvet Rope' podcast.

AceShowbiz - Kathryn Dennis has had her fair share of dealing with online haters. When speaking to David Yontef on his "Behind the Velvet Rope" podcast, the "Southern Charm" star revealed that she has been receiving "scary" DMs telling her to "kill" herself."

"I've had some pretty crazy messages telling me, like, to go and kill myself and things like that in very detailed ways," the 31-year-old, who has been a regular fixture on the popular series since its launch in 2014, shared. "It's not easy. It's scary."

"And it makes you feel like someone is lurking out there cause like who would take the time to send a message like that," the TV personality further elaborated. "It's kind of freaky."

Of how she dealt with the hate messages, Kathryn told the host, "You just kind of do what you can to protect yourself, like and stay away from people online that say things like that." She continued, "Never respond."

Kathryn doesn't always receive hateful DMs though. She said there were also a lot of sweet messages that can be uplifting. "I've definitely gotten long messages with people telling me like some of their personal stories," she noted. "It's wild to see how much an impact we have on viewers."

Earlier this month, Kathryn shared a reflective post on Instagram as she celebrated her birthday. "Another year in the books and so far I’ve learned…. That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person. That when you're in love, it shows. That just one person saying to me, 'You've made my day!' makes my day. That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world," she wrote alongside a photo of herself.

"That being kind is more important than being right. That you should never say no to a gift from a child. That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with," she continued. "That the simple life I lived when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult. That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved. That to ignore the facts does not change the facts."

"That love, not time, heals all wounds. That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am. That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them. That life is tough, but I'm tougher," she went on detailing. "That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss. That I wish I could have told my Mom that I love her one more time before she passed away. That now is the only thing you have. That your roots, you will always return #inmythirties."
