AceShowbiz - Owen Wilson is a superhero in his own world in the first trailer for upcoming film "Secret Headquarters". To be released on Paramount+, the movie follows a boy and his friends who discover that his father is superhero.

Wilson stars as a single father to a son named Charlie Kincaid (Walker Scobell). After Charlie's father leaves in a hurry for what he claims to be a business trip, Charlie invites his friends over to his house, before they accidentally stumble over a door that leads to the secret headquarters.

The discovery leads to some bad guys, who want to steal the high technology, finding their location. As the kids try their might to keep the technology from falling to the wrong persons, Charlie's father arrives in time to save the kids.

When confronted by his son about hiding his alter ego, Wilson's character responds, "How am I supposed to say, 'Oh, by the way some alien power source chose me to be guardian of the planet'? It makes you sound crazy, right?"

The trailer also includes some humor as it shows the ugly side of being a superhero. During a fight scene, both Wilson's character and Michael Cena's villain don Iron Man-like armors. Not being used to it, Cena's character asks for a timeout as it's "too hot" in the suit.

"Secret Headquarters" is described as a "heartwarming and action-packed family superhero film." According to the official logline, "While hanging out after school, Charlie and his friends discover the headquarters of the world’s most powerful superhero hidden beneath his home. When villains attack, they must team up to defend the headquarters and save the world."

The movie is directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, who co-wrote the script with Christopher L. Yost and Josh Koenigsberg, based on a story by Yost. Jesse Williams, Keith L. Williams and Momona Tamada also join the cast of the film, which will be available on Paramount+ starting August 12.
