Also starring Meagan Good, the new action-comedy is helmed by first-time director J.J. Perry, who is a stunt coordinator in 'John Wick: Chapter 2' and 'F9'.

AceShowbiz - Netflix has released the first official trailer for "Day Shift". Arriving on Monday, July 11, the clip features Jamie Foxx hunting vampires along with Snoop Dogg and Dave Franco in San Fernando Valley.

The clip opens with Jamie's character Bud Jablonski, who is a pool cleaner, unmercifully shooting an old lady who turns out to be a vampire. The woman then attacks him back but he manages to beat her down and sells her teeth for money.

Bud was previously a member of an international union of vampire hunters before he got booted. To earn more cash, he asks Snoop's Big John Elliott to convince their boss to take him back.

"If I don't come up with $10K, my wife (Meagan Good) and daughter (Zion Broadnax) are gonna move to Florida," Bud tells Big John. "And the Union's the only place that could give me that kind of money."

Once he's accepted, Bud launches his action along with Dave's character, a newbie who wets his pants during the vampire-hunting. The footage later concludes with Bud making references to the "Twilight" film series during a drive with his co-worker.

The action-comedy is helmed by J.J. Perry, stunt coordinator in "John Wick: Chapter 2" and "F9". Speaking about the film, the first-time director said, "Jamie Foxx is trying to save his family, he's having problems financially, he gets in over his head but he's got the starch in his britches to get him out of trouble."

"He kills a vampire who we find out was the daughter of the boss lady vampire, who seeks revenge," he further explained. There are these two worlds colliding, of a man trying to save his family and a vampire looking for revenge."

Produced by Chad Stahelski, "Day Shift" is set to be released on August 12.
