AceShowbiz - Fred Savage is setting aside time to take a good look of himself in the mirror. After being fired from ABC's reboot of "The Wonder Years" following allegations of misconduct, the Kevin Arnold depicter on the famous series was reported to be committing to self-reflection.

A source close to the 45-year-old actor revealed that he is taking time to think about his wrongdoing. "Fred has really taken this issue very seriously and is doing a lot of self-reflection about how he could and should have handled different circumstances better," the source told Page Six.

The insider further stated that the former star of "Friends from College" is trying to deal with his issues. "[He] knows he can be an a**hole at times," the source remarked, "There are some unresolved issues that Fred wants to deal with."

Regardless of the situation, it was also reported that Fred receives "overwhelming support" from friends and "The Wonder Years" colleagues. "The Princess Bride" actor is also "fully supported" by his wife Jennifer Lynn Stone.

In the beginning of May, a 20th Television spokesperson confirmed that Fred had been fired from his position as an executive producer and director of the show. On the reason of his termination, the spokesperson explained, "Recently, we were made aware of allegations of inappropriate conduct by Fred Savage, and as is policy, an investigation was launched."

The representative went on adding, "Upon its completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment as an executive producer and director of 'The Wonder Years'." After that, no further comment was given.
