In a new behind-the-scenes clip from her preparation for the Met Gala, the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' alum tells her boyfriend to 'take the double hat off.'

AceShowbiz - Pete Davidson may be happily dating Kim Kardashian, but for some social media users, she comes across as "controlling." The reality TV star has been slammed online for telling her boyfriend to remove his hat.
The issue was brought forward by the critics after a new video surfaced of Kim's preparation for the 2022 Met Gala. In the behind-the-scenes look of her trying Marilyn Monroe's dress, the mother of four didn't like Pete's double hat and told him to choose either one of the caps.
"Take the double hat off," Kim told Pete, as he wore a purple cap over a navy one with white writing. The SKIMS founder's team was heard giggling in the background as the pair continued their playful banter.
"I don't know where to put my hat," the comedian said as he took the top cap off. "She'll hold it," Kim said, gesturing to a nearby assistant. "Just in case, because if it works and we want to use this somewhere - just if I want to post any behind-the-scenes," she explained her objection to his double hat.
"Oh you don't want me to have a double hat? I appreciate that. Thank you," the "Saturday Night Live" star sarcastically said. "I'm just looking out for you," his girlfriend responded. "No, it's cool," he said. When someone offered to hold the cap for Pete, the 28-year-old quipped, "Thank you, man. This hat caused a lot of trouble."
Despite the seemingly light-hearted nature of the couple's conversation, some people took issue with how Kim instructed her boyfriend to remove the hat. One person lashed out at "The Kardashians" star, "She's controlling. She's not letting him be himself by wearing two hats. Let him wear two freaking hats, Kim. It's all about her Instagram aesthetic." The same person added, "Within five months he’s going to be a complete accessory."
"Nah def red flag passive-aggressive behaviour," another chimed in. "Instead of telling him she doesn't want him to make her look bad, which is what she's implying. She said she's looking out for him. It's giving controlling and selfish."
A third opined, "I dont get where everybody its saying they look so in love, everytime shes invalidating him." Someone else accused Kim of using Pete for publicity as writing, "No..HE'S so in love! She's using him for publicity. As usual she is just image-obsessed. Listen to their convo the way she is directing him to ditch the hat in case she wants to film 'behind the scenes'."
