The wife of Will Smith gets mocked by the 'Couples Retreat' actor for her idea to boycott the Academy due to its 'lack of diversity' in 2016 while she attended this year's award show when her husband got nominated.

AceShowbiz - Jada Pinkett Smith has been called out by Faizon Love. The "Couples Retreat" actor slammed the wife of Will Smith for urging black people to boycott the Oscars back in 2016 but she attended the award ceremony when her husband got nominated for "King Richard".

During an interview with VladTV published on Monday, April 18, the Cuban-born actor said, "She just told motherf**king, f**k the Oscars…you know? She was like, 'We're boycotting the Oscars.' " He elaborated further, "That year [Chris Rock] was hosting, she asked him to step down…step down from feeding your family."

"So here we go. 2016…Will Smith confirmed not going to the Oscars over lack of diversity," Faizon continued. He later dissed Jada, "When you say that, you can't come when you get…nominated! That's some h*e s**t too, because now you say, 'Oh they're cool now, I'm nominated.' F**k no!"

Faizon's statement has since sparked online debate. "Y'all want her to support her man or not which one is it?" one social media user commented, adding a bunch of laughing with tears emojis, after The Neighborhood Talk reposted the clip. "I'm confused. Don't you boycott until there is a correction? The correction was made," another person wrote, pointing out that the Oscars eventually did start representing diverse groups of actors though Jada might have boycotted the awards show.

"The fact that I'm on Will Smith's side but I agree with faizon. Jada is wild," a separate person noted, agreeing with Faizon and Jada's husband but not Jada herself. Someone else slammed Faizon, "I truly don't understand why so many grown men are so comfortable speaking on a woman, and someone's wife."

Back in 2016, Jada tweeted, "At the Oscars … people of color are always welcomed to give out awards … even entertain." The "Girls Trip" actress added, "But we are rarely recognized for our artistic accomplishments. Should people of color refrain from participating all together? People can only treat us in the way in which we allow. With much respect in the midst of deep disappointment." She also included the hashtag #Oscarssowhite in her post.

The topic has once again been brought up after Jada's husband Will slapped Chris during the award show telecast over his joke about Jada's shaved head. Following the awkward confrontation, Will, who took home the Best Actor award, was banned from the Academy for 10 years.
