During her appearance on Dear Media's 'Ready, Set, Spill' podcast, the 24-year-old 'Outer Banks' star discusses her struggle to deal with trolls on the Internet.

AceShowbiz - Madelyn Cline got candid about how she's struggling after surfing the big wave of superstardom on "Outer Banks". In a recent appearance on Dear Media's "Ready, Set, Spill" podcast, she admitted that it hasn't been an easy ride.
"Everybody has an opinion about everything…and that's totally fine," the actress shared. "Everybody is totally entitled to their opinions, but sometimes it is hard because it feels like, you know, you can't…"
When host Lindsey Carter suggested, "Hear your own thoughts?" Madelyn replied, "Exactly." She further explained, "That's exactly what it feels like. And I care so much about what everybody thinks. So sometimes I have to take a step back and remove myself."
"It's been an ongoing struggle for me, juggling social media, because of that," she continued. Despite that, she admitted that social media could also be "wonderfool" at times too.
"I love to interact with comments and see what everybody's doing," she said. "But it's been hard for me to adjust because the reality is it's not reality. It's filtered reality."
Madelyn added that her fans made the social media difficulties worth it. "When I was in Paris for Fashion Week, I met the most lovely teenage girls who were fans of the show," she said. "Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would be over in Europe meeting people who love the show. It's very sweet, so there's a duality to it."
Prior to this, Madelyn made headlines after she was seen holding hands with Chase Stokes, her co-star and ex-boyfriend. Explaining the picture, the 24-year-old actress said at the 30th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on March 27, "It was our start of filming." The star refused to go into details about what fans can expect in upcoming season 3 of "Outer Banks".
Netflix has yet to announce the official release date of "Outer Banks" season 3.
