The former Bachelorette addressed their friendship in October 2019 during her appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen', during which she said that she would 'never' be friends with Raven again.

AceShowbiz - Rachel Lindsay has revealed more details about her fallout with fellow "The Bachelor" contestant Raven Gates. In her new memoir titled "Miss Me With That: Hot Takes, Helpful Tidbits, and a Few Hard Truths", the former leading lady on "The Bachelorette" said that Raven wrote something about her on her journal that didn't sit right with her.

Rachel claimed that Raven had a journal while competing for Nick Viall's heart on "The Bachelor" back in 2017. "Raven was always writing in her journal," Rachel writes. "One night, she read aloud her first-night impressions of each of us. 'Rachel - she has black skin. And she seems nice.' "

While she clarified that it wasn't why their friendship went south, Rachel remembered thinking, "What the f**k? Who says that s**t? Not only do you think it, but you actually say it out loud for people to hear? Of all the ways you could describe me, that's what you came up with? You ain't ever seen a black person before? Like, never seen one of us up close? Like I'm out here in the wild like a gorilla?"

Rachel, however, said that she gave her former best friend the benefit of the doubt considering the fact that Raven is growing in Arkansas. Additionally, Rachel noted that she was "surprised" by how close they became throughout filming. They continued to form a friendship with Raven getting Rachel's blessing to date Adam Gottschalk, who was among her suitors on her season of "The Bachelorette". The two, who tied the knot last year, welcomed their first child earlier this month.

Rachel addressed their friendship in October 2019 during her appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen". "I can't say," Rachel said at the time when asked what went down between the pair. "I promised I wouldn't say, but it was enough for me to not want to be friends with her anymore," she continued, adding that she would "never" be friends with Raven again.

In her new book, the Texas-based attorney also recalled being "trashed" for her comments on Raven on the show. "They went so far as to call Raven the bigger person, as she did interviews claiming to have no idea why I was upset with her and that she missed our friendship," she wrote. "Even though it was clear that I'm the one who ended that relationship, I don't get the benefit of the doubt that I had a good reason to do so."

Meanwhile, Rachel explained in a new interview that she "wanted to write the book because my life has changed so much, and so much of what I was doing was dictated by fear." She continued telling told the University of Texas at Austin's The Alcalde magazine earlier this month. "And being treated as the country's most eligible Bachelorette -- there's a level of perfection that's attached to you. And we are so far from that. So, I almost wanted to break myself down from that image."
