In an episode of her show 'Cocktails with Queens', the 'Independence Day' actress says she dropped everything to be with her 'friend and sister' Regina when she received a call informing her that the grieving mom needed her support.

AceShowbiz - Regina King is doing "okay" while she continues to mourn the tragic passing of her son and only child, Ian Alexander Jr. Giving an update on the actress' situation was her friend and fellow actress Vivica A. Fox, who couldn't help but getting emotional when talking about the heartbreaking loss.

In a Monday, January 24 episode of her show "Cocktails with Queens", Vivica shed tears as she detailed how Regina coped with the death of her son. "I was with Regina last night," she began tearfully. "She's okay."

The "Booty Call" star revealed she received a call the previous night informing her that Regina wanted to see her. Vivica said she immediately turned her car around and went to be with her "friend and sister."

Praising Regina for her courage during this difficult time, the 57-year-old said of her friend, "She's so strong." She added, "More than anything else is that I'm glad I got to hug her. I'm glad I got to look into her eyes."

Vivica also relayed a message from Regina. "She said to tell everybody that she's gotten y'all texts. The outpouring of love for her, her family and her son…she appreciates it," she said of her friend.

The "Soul Train" alum later delivered an important message on mental health. "If you see any signs of someone being in distress," she said. "Or if somebody reaches out to you that's just maybe not having a good day or something. Stop. Take a moment to make sure they're okay."

Regina announced her son's tragic passing on Friday, January 21. "Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian," she said in a statement to the press. "He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you."

Ian, whom Regina shared with her ex-husband Ian Alexander Sr., took his own life on January 19, the day he turned 26 years old, according to law enforcement.
