Olivia Nuzzi reveals that she calls Lisa Oz after not being able to meet Dr. Oz, but apparently Mrs. Oz doesn't properly hang up their call so the New York magazine writer can hear the couple's conversation clearly.

AceShowbiz - Dr. Oz (Dr. Mehmet Oz) and his wife Lisa Oz were accused of insulting a political writer for New York magazine. Olivia Nuzzi claimed that she mistakenly overheard Dr. Oz's with his wife while reporting on Dr. Oz's campaign in Pennsylvania.

"I was trying to speak to someone - anyone - from the campaign, which had so far proved elusive," she wrote in her story which was titled "The Political Life of Dr. Oz". She added that she was in Montgomery County, where Oz's campaign headquarters are "in a patch of strip mall next to a Mexican restaurant."

Nuzzi hoped to meet the Republican candidate, but after not being able to reach him by phone, she decided to call his wife. Mrs. Oz eventually answered her phone, asking her, "How did you get my number?" After the writer told her that the number was publicly listed, Mrs. Oz wished her a "nice day" and hung up.

"Or she thought she did," Nuzzi wrote. In fact, the reporter could still clearly Mrs. Oz's conversation with her husband. "Lisa Oz had mistakenly connected her device to what sounded like the sound system of a vehicle, meaning that as they engaged in paranoid conversation and argument for more than four minutes, I remained on the line, hearing every word of it," Nuzzi shared.

During the exchange, Dr. Oz labelled Nuzzi a "liar" for claiming an appointment with him though she wrote in the piece that she never made such claim. Nuzzi also alleged that Mrs. Oz referred to her as a "reporter from The New Yorker" and a "f**king girl reporter."

"Did someone lock the door?" Dr. Oz was then heard saying. After Mrs. Oz replied, "No," Dr. Oz said, "We've got to do it."

Not stopping there, Nuzzi claimed that Dr. Oz accused her of breaking "into some guy's house and stole all his photo albums." Nuzzi said that it was a "made up by disgraced ex-Trump aide Corey Lewandowski." Dr. Oz also claimed that Nuzzi wrote a "hit piece," which she also said is not true.

"She said s**t she shouldn't have said! That I was going to be the next leader of the Republican Party," Dr. Oz allegedly said of Nuzzi. "That Michelle told her I'm going to be the next leader of the Republican Party, s**t like that, that's what you told me she said!" Dr. Oz added, referring to his and his wife associate named Michelle Bouchard.

A spokesperson for Dr. Oz has yet to comment on the piece.
