The 'America's Got Talent' judge still rides his bike every day, insisting the routine is his 'most creative time' despite suffering serious injuries following an accident in 2020.

AceShowbiz - Simon Cowell can't stop riding electric bikes - even though he broke his back while taking a spin on one.

The "America's Got Talent" star insisted his serious e-bike injury in 2020 hasn't put him off whizzing around the streets of Malibu, California because his daily rides are his "most creative time."

He's downgraded the model to something a little more sedate, though, as he told his friend and former girlfriend Terri Seymour on U.S. show "Extra".

"My most creative time is now when I cycle, because I cycle even though it's an e-bike," he smiled. "I still got to pedal and I do about 10 miles a day... even though I had an accident on one. That was more an electric motorbike; these are called pedal-assist bikes, and they're brilliant."

Even though he was only "a milimetre" away from being paralysed in the accident, Simon wasn't nervous about getting back on two wheels and wouldn't rewrite history if he could because the accident set him on a path to better fitness.

Asked if he was nervous, he said, "No. That expression 'get back on your bike,' with me, it was literal. I feel better than I did because I exercise so much more."

"Honestly, if I could rewind, I would have gone through the whole thing again. Just because I feel better now."

"Yeah, even though it hurt like hell at the time."

The TV mogul underwent daily physiotherapy sessions and walked 10,000 steps a day during his recovery.
