While ringing in her 50th birthday, the former star of 'Married... With Children' turns to her social media account to share a touching message for those who are also battling multiple sclerosis.

AceShowbiz - Christina Applegate celebrated her 50th birthday with a touching message after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Taking to her social media account, the former "Married... with Children" star said she hoped to find "strength" amid her health scare.

On Thursday, November 25, the Jen Harding depicter on "Dead to Me" took to her Twitter account to share a message with her followers to mark her birthday and get candid with how she's feeling on her special day. "Yup. I turned 50 today. And I have MS. It's been a hard one," she began.

"Sending so much love to all of you this day. Many are hurting today, and I am thinking of you. May we find that strength to lift our heads up," Christina added. She then concluded her post, "Mine currently is on my pillow. But I try."

On her 50th birthday, Christina Applegate shared a touching message for those who are battling multiple sclerosis.

Upon learning her thoughtful message, many of her followers gave her support. "I shall be praying for you that your MS be under control & that you have few exacerbations," one concerned fan wrote. "I'm not a big vaccine person, but if you're not vaccinated, please do it if you can. My middle sister also had MS, got COVID-19 in January, and passed away at 57. Please stay safe."

"Happy Birthday! MS is so difficult to deal with, I've had 2 family members with it," another added. The said person went on to say, "Each day is a crap shoot, good days, wicked bad days follow. I'm dealing w/2 bad knees and osteoarthritis, 2nd knee surgery scheduled for Tuesday. I feel you, I hear you and want to share this."

A separate fan, who also suffers from MS, wished her a happy birthday as saying, "Happy happy birthday from another MSer!" The Twitter user added, "Life can still be good even with MS, try not to worry too much about the future, enjoy today! In many ways my life got better after MS diagnosis because I gave myself permission to be kind to myself," before urging Christina to "look for the silver lining."

Christina publicly revealed her MS diagnosis back in early August. The "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" star shared the shocking news in a tweet that read, "Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It's been a strange journey."

"But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition," Christina continued. "It's been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some a**hole blocks it."

In a following tweet, Christina asked for privacy. She then shared the inspiring words from a friend of hers in a similar situation, writing, "As one of my friends that has MS said 'we wake up and take the indicated action.' And that's what I do."
