The Wrestling champion grappled with a fan who jumped over the rail and lunged at him during a recent Monday Night Raw show at the Barclays Center in New York.

AceShowbiz - WWE star Seth Rollins was attacked by a fan during the company's Monday Night Raw broadcast.

The event took place earlier this week (22Nov21) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and saw Rollins tackled by a fan who breached a guard rail and charged at him.

The two grappled until a group of referees and event personnel pulled the 24-year-old fan away. He was later arrested in connection with the incident, New York Police Department officials confirmed.

The attack was caught on camera and shared across social media, showing how the man charged at Rollins with a running start and the pair struggled before help arrived.

However, Rollins kept his cool and did not aggravate his attacker once they were separated - despite fans chanting "F**k him up" throughout the venue.

Following the incident, WWE officials said the company "takes the safety of its performers very seriously," insisted "the individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

While Rollins hasn't commented on the surprise fan encounter, former WWE star Chavo Guerrero took to Twitter to take a jab at Rollins for the way the latter handled the situation which wasn't part of the show.

Guerrero insisted Rollins should have been tougher. "Remember when the wrestlers were tougher than the fans? Ah, the good ol' days (shrug emoji)," so he wrote.

Rollins hasn't commented on the disparaging comments.
