AceShowbiz - Cardi B is a little freaked out after Netflix bosses gifted the "You" super fan a souvenir package.
Last month (October 2021), the hitmaker, who has been vocal about her love for the creepy show, was thrilled when its lead actor Penn Badgley raved about the positive way in which she engages her fans on social media.
Cardi tweeted her delight that the actor knows who she is, and volunteered for a cameo on the hit series.
Netflix bosses loved the idea, changing their Twitter profile bio to "Petition to get Cardi B to guest star in Season 4 of You!"
Now, they've let her know they're keeping tabs on Cardi - and that they know where she lives.
On Thursday, November 4, the "Thru Your Phone" star posted a photo to Twitter of a gift supposedly from Penn's killer character, Joe Goldberg, showing off a navy hat like the one he wears on the show, stitched with the greeting "Hello, you."
The hat also came with a note that referenced her hit song "WAP".
"Hello, you… My stalking and killing may make me a certified freak, seven days a week, but it also brought me to… you."
"Cardi B, you have a way with social media. You're meaningful. Substantive. I just like you," the note continued.
"Can't wait to see you slaying in this hat. But I certainly hope you don't disappear."
It was signed, "Au revoir (see you later), Joe Goldberg."
And the odd present has her wondering how "Joe" got her new address, because she only announced she'd bought a New York City pad on Tuesday.
"How Joe found my new house address?" she quipped on Twitter.
Netflix social media managers played along, posting a GIF of Joe lurking behind a tree, and the caption, "Lucky guess..."
But You's bosses have yet to share further news on the chances of a Cardi cameo.
