AceShowbiz - Joe Exotic has revealed that his "aggressive" cancer is back. The "Tiger King" star shared the news on his social media platform while demanding to be released from prison to "enjoy" what life he has left.

The 58-year-old took to his Instagram account on Wednesday, November 3 to share a handwritten letter, dated October 27, that he had written to fans from prison. "Everyone, It is with a sad face that I have to tell you the doctors called me in today to break the news that my prostate biopsy came back with an aggressive cancer," he began.

"I am still waiting on the results from other [tests] as well," Joe added. He went on to note that he doesn't want "anyone's pity" but instead hopes fans will advocate for his release from prison. "I'm sure Carole Will have her own party over this! What I need is the world to be my voice to be released, they have the proof I DID NOT DO THIS!" he continued.

Joe further insisted that "there is no reason for the district attorney to drag this out." The Netflix star then hoped that he "can go home and get treatment." He also stressed that he wants to "enjoy what life [he has] left with [his] loved ones." Joe's lawyer, John Phillips, also confirmed The TV star's cancer return in a tweet he shared on November 3. "He and I spoke Monday with both of us in tears at a point," the attorney wrote. "He needs freedom by so many definitions and we are diligent working towards that."

Joe was previously sentenced to 22 years behind bars for two separate murder-for-hire plot counts after allegedly attempting to hire hitmen to take down his rival, Carole Baskin. However, a federal appeals court ruled in July that a trial court must give him a new sentence, grouping the alleged crimes together.
