The 'Check Yo Self' hitmaker has decided to leave new comedy 'Oh Hell No' after studio bosses mandate Covid-19 vaccination before production begins in Hawaii.

AceShowbiz - Ice Cube has exited movie comedy "Oh Hell No" after refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Sony bosses stipulated all cast and crew members had to receive the vaccine before filming could start in Hawaii, but the rapper and actor declined a request from producers to get his jab, and now sources tell The Hollywood Reporter he has quit the project.

Representatives for Sony and the star have yet to comment.

Ice Cube was lined up to star alongside Jack Black in the film, directed by Kitao Sakurai.

Ironically, the rap star promoted mask wearing throughout the pandemic and donated face protection to Bacone College in Oklahoma over the summer (21). He also unveiled the "Check Yo Self Before You Wreck Yo Self" branded T-shirts, featuring the star in a mask, last year (20).

Ice Cube also recently quit boxing movie "Flint Strong" without explaining why.

The phrase "Check Yo Self Before You Wreck Yo Self" was taken from his 1993 hit single from third solo album "The Predator".

Earlier this year, the rapper sued financial services company Robinhood for using his photo and lyrics from "Check Yo' Self" without permission.

He first launched his lawsuit in April but his legal complaint was dismissed by a judge a couple months later. He submitted an amended complaint in September but it was once again tossed out from the court.

"You cannot take people's lyrics and likeness as an endorsement without permission," he fumed following the ruling. "This is another example of judges letting big business do whatever they want to us."
