The former Atomic Kitten member reveals she has been forced to delay her plans for a sixth child as she puts surrogacy on hold because of the family relocation.

AceShowbiz - British pop star and TV personality Kerry Katona has temporarily put her surrogacy plans on hold until her family relocation is complete.

The former Atomic Kitten singer is already a mother-of-five from previous relationships, but she wants to expand her family with her fiance Ryan Mahoney, and they have recently been exploring the possibility of hiring a surrogate to carry their child.

However, Katona admits the baby planning has been halted for the time being as they are moving back to her native north west of England from their former base in Sussex.

In her column for Britain's new! magazine, she writes, "I've had my call with the surrogacy agency and it went well. We spoke about what the next steps are, which would be going to the clinic to get my eggs and Ryan's sperm tested. But I'm not sure when that's going to happen just yet."

"We're still busy with our move and we really want to focus on that. Our priority is the new house at the minute. But we'll work it all out."

The news emerges a week after Katona admitted she wanted to start the process sooner rather than later because she doesn't want to be an old mum.

The 40 year old shared, "I'm not getting any younger and I don't want to be a mum in my sixties taking her kid to school. So once I know all the steps I have to take, it will give me a good 20 years to be with my child. It's exciting!"
