While producer Louis Nero defends the casting of the former 'House of Cards' star in 'The Man Who Drew God', the 'Georgetown' actress sets the record straight on her reported involvement.

AceShowbiz - Vanessa Redgrave has made it clear she will not be part of husband Franco Nero's new movie, featuring Kevin Spacey.
The veteran actress was named among the cast of "The Man Who Drew God" as disgraced star Spacey's involvement in the project was announced earlier this week (beginning May 24), but now her representatives are making it clear she will not be taking on a role.
"Vanessa Redgrave's name is being included in recent stories relating to the casting of the upcoming film 'The Man Who Drew God'," a statement reads. "While there have been discussions about the possibility of her joining the cast, she will not appear in the film."
The upcoming Italian film will mark Spacey's big screen comeback after he stepped away from the spotlight following allegations of misconduct and sexual assault in 2017 and 2018.
Spacey also lost his role on political drama "House of Cards" and he was edited out of Ridley Scott's "All the Money in the World".
The "Usual Suspects" star has yet to comment on his latest film role, in which he will play a blind artist who can create portraits by listening to human voices.
Defending the casting, producer Louis Nero told Entertainment Weekly, "In Italy, we don't know details on everything, so we don't speak about what we don't know about. I cannot speak about these things. I only know that Kevin is a great actor. That was my concern, and no more than that."
"Both Franco and I think Kevin is one of the best actors of a generation. We don't want to go into the private matter. He's still a great actor."
Louis has also insisted reports suggesting the film documents the tale of a wrongly-accused paedophile are incorrect.
