The star-studded DC FanDome virtual event treats fans to a new trailer for the second 'Wonder Woman' movie which shows the villainess Cheetah in her full glory.

AceShowbiz - Director Patty Jenkins and her "Wonder Woman 1984" cast were given a big surprise as they launched the 24-hour DC FanDome virtual event on Saturday (22Aug20) - Lynda Carter jumped on live to be part of the panel.

The filmmaker, Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascal were answering questions from fans when the original Wonder Woman appeared before them and heaped praise on the cast for keeping the character alive and inspiring women around the world.

"Hello you beautiful woman," Gadot gushed, calling her appearance "a delightful surprise."

"Thank you for everything you've done for me. Now this thing (DC FanDome panel) is whole, because you're here."

Jenkins added, "We think about you every day and we talk about you all the time."

Wiig confessed she was a huge Carter fan, revealing she used to dress up as Wonder Woman for Halloween.

"I am so excited to meet you," she said. "I have been a fan from day one."

Jenkins and the cast also took a fan question from tennis ace Venus Williams, who asked who would win a tennis match between Wonder Woman and Wiig's villain Cheetah. Both stars argued their character would be victorious on the court, with Kristen joking that Wonder Woman's gold tennis racket would be too heavy and slow her down.

After the panel, Jenkins offered up a new "Wonder Woman 1984" trailer, which chronicled Wiig's full transformation from Barbara Minerva to Cheetah.

Hours later, Venus returned for a chat with Jenkins, and revealed Wonder Woman was a big part of her childhood and she was a huge fan of the TV series, starring Carter. The tennis star also suggested there should be a superheroine called Venus.

Carter returned later during the DC FanDome event to unveil the new Wonder Woman logo for next year's 80th anniversary of the comic book character, alongside Jenkins and Gadot.
