The fashion competition show hosted by Tan France and Alexa Chung is not renewed for a second season by Netflix following the airing of the first installment.

AceShowbiz - Netflix show "Next in Fashion" has been axed after just one series, host Tan France has confirmed.

The designer and "Queer Eye" star spoke with Variety about the streaming platform's decision not to move forward with the show, and insisted he was just proud to have been a part of it.

"We're not doing a second a season," Tan explained. "This is a one-season show, we don't know what will happen in the future. But it was honestly one of the proudest things I've ever worked on. I love the show and Alexa (Chung, co-host) so much."

While he had teased the possibility of the show returning, Tan said his focus for the future "is definitely on Queer Eye and moving forward with that."

The fashion competition saw a group of innovative designers go head-to-head to become the next big name in the industry, and win a $250,000 cash prize and the chance to debut their collection with Net-a-Porter.
