In a public Facebook post, journalist Kacey Roberts alleges that 'manipulative' Kirkham tried to destroy her career when she worked under him in Great Falls, Montana in 2013.

AceShowbiz - "Tiger King" star Rick Kirkham has been branded a "predator" and "manipulative con man" by a former employee who claims he sexually harassed her.

Kacey Roberts, who worked at the American TV station KFBB in Montana, alleged that Rick "tried to destroy" her career when he was made her boss in 2013.

In a public Facebook post, the journalist said Rick, who has spoken openly in the past about his battle with alcohol and drug addiction, would get drunk and harass his news staff, and even handed out prescription medication on company grounds.

Following the success of the Netflix docuseries, which became a massive hit with audiences during the coronavirus lockdown, she insisted seeing the star in the media brought her experiences rushing back to her, seven years on.

"For those of you watching Netflix's 'Tiger King', Rick Kirkham was my News Director in Great Falls, Montana in 2013," Kacey wrote. "This man sexually harassed me and tried to destroy my career."

She alleged Rick "would drunk text and call the news team at all hours of the night and hand out prescription pills on company property," adding, "Rick is a manipulative con man. He's a predator. Seeing him in my living room felt like such a violation."

Kacey's 26 March post, has already attracted more than 10,000 comments and over 2,000 shares.

"Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness" follows the exploits of Joe Exotic, a prolific tiger breeder who ran a popular illegal zoo in Oklahoma. The tiger lover is currently serving a 22-year sentence in jail for plotting to kill animal rights activist Carole Baskin and other wildlife violations.
