People react badly to the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star's recent social media post given the ill-timing, where people are currently struggling due to the coronavirus crisis.

AceShowbiz - In difficult time like this, the rich may have to mind what they're posting online. Kylie Jenner learned that the hard way after she was getting backlash for bragging about her $450 Louis Vuitton chopsticks on social media.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" recently treated her online devotees to a video of her new expensive set of utensils. "gotta start traveling with these," the makeup mogul captioned the clip on her Instagram Stories handle.

People, however, reacted badly to the clip given the ill-timing. Many seemingly thought that Kylie should have used her billion-dollar fortune on helping people as they are currently struggling due to the coronavirus crisis. "People are starving," one Internet user reminded the TV star. Meanwhile, another one added, "stop for a moment showing your life full of luxuries, including sushi sticks that are worth more than our houses. Kylie, stupid!"

"Kylie Jenner just done bought $450 dollars Louis Vuitton chopsticks sis she really out here bein boujee bout sushi," someone else wrote. Another comment, on the other hand, read, "It's funny how influencers like Kylie Jenner post about needing to remember to travel with her louis vuitton chopsticks while there are people being laid off and wondering how they will earn their next paycheck during this pandemic."

Kylie has yet to respond to the criticism.

Despite that, the mom of one is surely aware of how serious the pandemic is as she has been practicing social distancing. She also urged her followers to do the same because "the faster we stay inside the faster we can get back to it .. i hope everyone is taking social distancing serious !!"

In a March 19 Instagram Stories, she added, "Hey guys, happy self quarantine. I know I’ve already been doing my daily reminders about how important it is right now to practice social distancing and self quarantine. I'm going on my ninth day." The billionaire then relayed a message from U.S. General Surgeon, Dr. Jerome Adams, saying, "The coronavirus is a real thing. I listened to the surgeon general this morning, and even though I've already been doing my daily reminders, he definitely encouraged me to come on here and talk to you guys so you could see me and hear me."
