Defending the Bronx hip-hop artist, his manager describes the 44-year-old MC as someone who 'spreads knowledge and positivity, both through his music and community involvement.'

AceShowbiz - C-Rayz Walz's team has spoken up after news broke that he has been in jail since December for a felony rape allegation. On Wednesday, March 18, the former Definitive Jux artist manager released a statement in defense of the star.

"At this current time, C-Rayz Walz can't discuss or comment on this allegation," the manager told HipHopDX. While she can't directly address the specifics of the case, she made it clear that C-Rayz maintains his innocence.

"What I can say is that I have known C-Rayz Walz as both his manager and closest friend for six years," Rebs spoke of the incarcerated star from her experience with him. "I have seen him devote the majority of his time to take care and provide for his son."

"His family and friends know who he is, what he represents and what kind of father he has been. He spreads knowledge and positivity, both through his music and community involvement," she continued singing praise of the Bronx MC. "Walz is a caring person and has always been committed to teaching and uplifting the youth and especially to his son. That is the C-Rayz Walz I know and love."

C-Rayz was once a prominent fixture in New York's underground hip-hop scene, but hasn't been as active in the last couple of years. According to the New York City Department of Correction, he has been held behind bars since Deceased's 13, 2019 on charges of felony rape.

Details of the case are unavailable, but he is reported to be currently locked down at The Vernon C. Bain Correctional Center in the Bronx. Nicknamed "The Boat", the facility is an 800-bed jail barge used to hold inmates and anchored off the Bronx's southern shore, near Hunts Point.

C-Rayz is expected to make a court appearance on April 15, but it's likely to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
