AceShowbiz - Does Udonis Haslem not acknowledge Dwyane Wade's child as a girl? The 39-year-old professional basketball player has confused people for seemingly addressing his former colleague's transgender daughter Zaya as a "boy."

Udonis seemingly wanted to show his support to the 12-year-old, who was performing with a gospel choir at school for Black History Month. In a video posted by her father on Sunday, March 1, Zaya is seen singing and dancing with her schoolmates.

A proud father, Dwyane captioned it, "J.O.Y. ~ A Feeling Of Great Pleasure And Happiness! That's What Watching Zaya Sing And Dance Last Night Felt Like For Our Family." Udonis weighed in on it, writing in the comment section, "What it's all about my boy..[a heart emoji]"

The Miami Heat star's comment sparked reactions from fellow Instagram users, who think that he's confused about how to address Dwyane's child. "girl or boy? See you're confused too," one replied to Udonis' comment. Another who seemingly disagreed with him simply wrote, "uhhhhhhhhh."

Some others, however, think that Udonis was referring to Dwyane instead of Zaya with "boy." One explained, "I think he is talking about dwade not zaya." Another argued, "he's referring to Dwade cmon yall."

Another person, meanwhile, appeared to have not kept up with the Wade family as asking, "wait I'm confused. Wasn't it Zion now Zaya? Zaya implies female. Am I wrong ?"

Udonis' confusing comment aside, Zaya got the support of his whole family during the school performance. Dwyane's wife Gabrielle Union is seen clapping and dancing while watching Zaya sing on the stage.

The retired basketball player also shared a photo of his daughter beaming while holding two bouquets of flowers following the performance. "Enough Said," he captioned it. Gabrielle left multiple heart emojis under the post.
