The 57-year-old British host, who has been married to his wife Stephanie Lowe for 27 years, has come clean about his sexuality during a breakfast television show.

AceShowbiz - British TV favourite Phillip Schofield came out as gay during Friday's February 7, 2020 instalment of U.K. TV show "This Morning".
The star presents the show with co-star Holly Willoughby, Monday through Thursday, but they appeared on Friday morning alongside regulars Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes for a candid interview where he opened up on his sexuality.
Ahead of the show, the 57-year-old, who has been married to his wife Stephanie Lowe for 27 years with who he shares daughters Molly, 27, and Ruby, 24, released a statement, revealing, "With the strength and support of my wife and my daughters, I have been coming to terms with the fact that I am gay.”
Adding that it has "caused many heart-breaking conversations at home," the star explained the response he's received during the live TV show, as he emotionally shared, "everyone I have spoken" has been so supportive.
"My entire family, to a person, have grabbed us and said, 'It's OK, we love you, we are proud of you,' and every person I tell, it gets a little lighter and a little lighter."
Stars took to social media to praise the broadcaster for coming out - with Little Britain duo Matt Lucas and David Walliams among the first to share messages of support.
"That cannot have been an easy statement to make. People come out at different stages in their lives. Good luck Phillip," said Matt, while David added, "I am sending all my love to @Schofe today... Let’s hope we are moving towards a world where no-one has to come out anymore, they can just be who they are and celebrate that."
Actress Kathy Burke also sent well wishes to the star, adding, "The main thing this will do is help others. I wish Philip Schofield and his family all the very best," while singer Peter Andre penned, "Just when I though I couldn’t love this person more. Honest, open and most importantly happy."
