The late NBA legend wasn't the only one being identified using fingerprints though, as a new report said there were three other victims of the fatal helicopter crash that were identified in the same manner.

AceShowbiz - Kobe Bryant's body had been recovered by medical examiners from the helicopter crash site on Tuesday, January 28. A new report stated that among remains of all nine people who died in a helicopter crash near Los Angeles, one had been identified as the late NBA legend though it wasn't an easy process.

It was revealed that Kobe's body was "burned beyond recognition." To identify him, they used fingerprints. He wasn't the only one being identified using fingerprints though, as the report said there were three others that were identified in the same manner.

Meanwhile, the bodies of the other 6 victims on the crash have not been officially identified. It remains to be seen whether the other victims' remains were similarly burned.

The federal investigators shared that they had finished their inspection of the crash site, and now are handing it over to the local authorities. "We are done on the site," Jennifer Homendy, a member of the National Transportation Safety Board, said.

His sudden death was understandably a huge shock to Kobe's wife Vanessa Bryant, who recently broke her silence on the tragic deaths of her husband and their daughter Gianna. The mother of four posted on her Instagram page a picture of her, Kobe and their four daughters smiling during one of their happy days along with a lengthy message addressing the devastating loss.

Vanessa began by thanking "the millions of people who've shown support and love during this horrific time." She wrote on Wednesday, January 29, "Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them."

She also asked "respect and privacy" as they "navigate this new reality." She then urged fans and followers to help "the other families affected by this tragedy" by donating to the MambaOnThree Fund on MambaOnThree.org. She concluded the statement with, "Thank you so much for lifting us up in your prayers, and for loving Kobe, Gigi, Natalia, Bianka, Capri and me," and added the hashtags #Mamba #Mambacita #GirlsDad #DaddysGirls #Family.
