Though losing his bid to get reinstated for the tribute performance, the drummer joins Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford onstage to collect the 2020 Person of the Year prize.

AceShowbiz - Former Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer joined the band onstage to collect the 2020 MusiCares Person of the Year prize - after being banned from joining the group for their performance at the Grammys on Sunday, January 26.

The rocker lost his bid to force his bandmates to reinstate him for the tribute event - and a performance at Sunday's Grammy Awards - when a judge shot down his petition earlier this week.

However, Kramer had vowed to attend the ceremony on Friday and, according to TMZ, he joined Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford on stage as they accepted the award.

Also in attendance was the band's attorney, Dina LaPolt, who introduced the band and hinted at their lawsuit drama.

"They are brothers. They refer to each other as brothers and they even fight like brothers," LaPolt said, according to the publication.

Kramer was replaced in Aerosmith by his drum technician last year (19) after injuring his shoulder, and although he returned for shows following his recovery, when he showed up for rehearsals for the Grammy events he was told he wasn't welcome.

His bandmates have made it clear they don't think the drummer is "emotionally and physically able to perform with the band".
