The 'Wicked Wicked Games' actress shares a shocking picture of her bruised and scarred back as she opens up on her health issues with rheumatoid arthritis.

AceShowbiz - Actress Tatum O'Neal is showing her scars in a candid post documenting her battle with rheumatoid arthritis.
The "Paper Moon" star took to Instagram on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 to share a shocking image of her bruised and scarred back, a result of the autoimmune disease.
"Living with rheumatoid arthritis. A fall scratch scar on my right hip. And the back surgery scar from eight years ago," she captioned the shot. "My last back surgery scar is on the front from February."
She added, "And all those red marks are from heating pads - I probably should turn those down a little bit."
Despite the jaw dropping reveal, the 56 year old has reassured her followers she is on the mend, writing, "believe it or not this is me actually getting better," before offering words of support for others fighting the condition.
"Cheers to everyone and rheumatoid arthritis can go f**k itself."
O'Neal has been open about her health struggles on social media, previously taking to Instagram on Sunday, January 12, 2020 to document her progress.
"Hi, I've been in some rheumatoid arthritis bull crap but finally I'm feeling a little bit better," she posted on the photo sharing site. "I hate texting because my hands suck Right now.. so If I don't text you back I promise it's nothing personal."
In March 2019, she noted she had undergone a spinal procedure known as anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF).
