AceShowbiz - Odell Beckham Jr. got into trouble with the law after he seemingly smacked a cop's butt in New Orleans, Louisiana. The New Orleans Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for the 27-year-old Cleveland Browns wide receiver following the incident.
The NFL star was caught on camera spanking a male officer who were lecturing LSU players for smoking cigars in the locker room at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome during the College Football Playoff National Championship. The cop turned around and seemingly exclaimed, "Excuse Me!"
Rumor has it, authorities initially wanted to charge the football player with misdemeanor sexual battery. However, a judge disapproved of it and only agreed to go with a simple battery charge.
It wasn't the only antics by Odell Beckham Jr. that went viral. The former LSU star, who was in New Orleans to watch his alma mater LSU play Clemson, was also scrutinized for handing out money to his juniors on the field during a postgame celebration after LSU defeated Clemson 42-25.
The Cleveland Browns issued a statement, "We are aware of the incident and have been in touch with Odell and his representatives on the matter. They are cooperating with the proper authorities to appropriately address the situation."
Odell hasn't commented on any of his New Orleans stunts, but the chatters about his sexuality heated up on the internet following his butt-slapping antics. "The way he looked at his butt before he slapped it," one commented. Another claimed, "It's obvious at this point lol." One other wrote, "We already knew he was fruity."
The athlete is currently romantically linked to Instagram model Lauren "Lolo" Wood, but he has been plagued with gay rumors over the years. A partygoer who allegedly attended his Christmas party recently claimed he was messing around with teammate KhaDarel Hodge.
