The 'Who Do You Love?' rapper files a police report after realizing the briefcase containing his expensive jewelry was nearly empty following a New Year's Eve trip.

AceShowbiz - YG was targeted by robber(s). Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the 29-year-old rap star filed a police report for grand theft on Monday, January 6 in Los Angeles after losing $400,000 in jewelry during his recent stay in a London hotel.

YG allegedly checked into the hotel at 11 P.M. on New Year's Eve and left the following day. He put his expensive jewelry in a briefcase and placed it on top of a safe. When he checked out, he noticed the bag was a little lighter than usual and discovered it was nearly empty.

The rapper, whose real name is Keenon Daequan Ray Jackson, found out he fell victim to a robbery on January 1 but, for some reason, only decided to report it five days later. He hasn't commented on the matter.

The robbery came to light following reports that L.A. authorities appealed to the public for help in solving a murder case involving YG's vehicle.

Back in July, someone driving a Cadillac Escalade registered to the rapper took police on a high-speed chase, opening fire with an assault rifle and killing a 65-year-old man riding a bike. Cops raided the rapper's home searching for any potential evidence that linked to the deadly shooting.

YG insisted he had nothing to do with the shooting although the car was believed to be his. He claimed he was occupied in a recording studio when the incident happened. He has not been charged with any crime in relation to the case. Investigation is still ongoing.
