AceShowbiz - Harry Styles appeared in the latest episode of "Saturday Night Live" as both host and musical guest. During his opening monologue in the Saturday, November 16 episode of the sketch comedy, the singer/actor surprised everyone as he took a jab at former One Direction teammate Zayn Malik, with whom he's rumored to be beefing.
While the move was not expected by many of his fans because Harry seemed to be opting to stay out of the drama all this time, it is reported that the "Dunkirk" star has zero regret of being shady in the episode. "Harry knew what he was getting into when he was joking about Zayn," one source tells to HollywoodLife.com.
"There has been issues with Zayn with all of the guys for a long time and this joke was simply innocent fun tinged with some reality," the source goes on saying. "Zayn has always been difficult, so to do that joke was on purpose and Harry doesn't regret it."
In the episode, the "Lights Up" hitmaker opened his opening monologue by reflecting on his successful career. It was when he talked about the members of One Direction which was put together by Simon Cowell on the U.K.'s "The X Factor" in 2010. "I love those guys. They're my brothers," he said.
Harry went on naming his former bandmates, saying, "Niall, Liam, Louis....," before pretending to struggle to recall the fifth member's name. "And um, Ringo, yeah that's it," Harry joked. "Just so grateful Simon Cowell grew us in those test tubes."
Some fans weren't happy with the shade as one called the "Sign of the Times" singer "ungrateful ugly a** bvch." The person tweeted, "Zayn literally carried 1d on his entire back, Harry styles is an ungrateful ugly ass bvch."
