Kendall Jenner Criticized for Celebrating Birthday With Race Car Driving

Even though the adrenaline-inducting activity brings happiness to the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star, many of her online devotees are not feeling the same.

AceShowbiz - Kendall Jenner has a need for speed on her birthday, but many people aren't catching her drift. The supermodel, who turned 24 on Sunday, November 3, celebrated her milestone by going driving on a race track with a small group of friends, and that apparently pissed off a lot of people who believed she didn't do anything good to the environment by doing so.

Taking to her Instagram account on Monday, Kendall shared footage from their adrenaline-inducing activity and said that her friends all brought their luxury cars to participate. In one clip, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star sat in the passenger side of a Rolls Royce convertible as a pro diver intentionally oversteered while maintaining control of the car, causing plumes of dramatic smoke as the tired screeched across the asphalt.

"Yesterday we all took our cars to the track and I learned how to drift :))) SWIPE cuz this s**t makes me happy," so Kendall wrote in the caption of the post.

Even though the activity brought happiness to Kendall, social media users were not feeling the same. Instead of feeling happy for her, they were angry over the potential harm to the environment the stunt caused. "Productive day ruining the environment," one said, as another reminded Kendall, "We have 11 years to reduce global emissions by 50 per cent." Someone else wrote, "For Kendall's birthday we Polluted the earth even more but cry about straws online."

Another individual commented, "The amount of co2 you throwing is just dumb, global warming is something we gotta pay attention to, and you are polluting inecessary (sic)." There was also one person who wrote, "Sisters are environmentally conscious," while someone used a meme of activist Greta Thunberg saying "How dare you!?" to express his/her anger.

Kendall has yet to respond to the backlash.
