Saoirse Kennedy Hill was found unresponsive at the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts on August 1, and she was subsequently pronounced dead at Cape Cod Hospital.
On Friday, November 01, Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe confirmed her cause of death, revealing her passing was attributed to "acute methadone and ethanol toxicity in combination with other prescription medications".
According to her death certificate, Saoirse was also found to have alcohol in her system.
Saoirse was the daughter of Robert and wife Ethel Kennedy's fifth child, Courtney Kennedy Hill.
The Kennedy family has been plagued by tragedy - Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1968, just five years after his brother, then-U.S. President John F. Kennedy, was shot and killed in Texas.
