One of the women escorted out of the New York event for confronting the disgraced producer has since taken to Facebook to explain why she decided to get involved during intermission.

AceShowbiz - Two women were escorted out of a performance event for young actors in New York on Wednesday night, October 23, after confronting shamed producer Harvey Weinstein.

The movie mogul is facing numerous charges, including rape and predatory sexual assault, which carry the prospect of a lengthy prison sentence, with his trial set to kick off in January.

And while he has yet to be convicted of any wrongdoing, that didn't stop several attendees at the Actor's Hour event, described as a "speakeasy" for artists by organizers, heckling Weinstein so much that his entourage heckled them back and eventually asked them to leave the Downtime Bar.

Comedian Kelly Bachman, a rape survivor herself, was one of the performers at the event, and tackled the "elephant in the room" during her set as she told the audience: "I didn’t know we had to bring our own Mace and rape whistles to Actor's Hour."

The quip drew ire as some members of the crowd booed her, while attendee Zoe Stuckless decided to confront the movie mogul during the show's intermission.

After getting increasingly agitated, Stuckless was asked to leave, and detailed the incident in a post on her Facebook page as she wrote: "I thought about all of the voices that have been silenced over so many years. I thought about the artists, the women, who were paralyzed by the same fear that I felt, surrounded by colleagues who were intimidated into a culture of silence and passivity. This room was a microcosm of our whole community."

Another performer, Amber Rollo, tweeted she was "guided" out of the bar after calling Weinstein a "f**king monster".

"His friend/body guard/goon/family member called me a **** and I really really wanted to lunge over the table and strangle him," she added.

Amber Rollo claimed she was called 'c**t' by Harvey Weinstein's friends.

Amber Rollo was guided outside and told people to pay no attention to Actor Hour.

A representative for Weinstein responded after the incident, telling Variety in a statement: "Harvey Weinstein was out with friends enjoying the music and trying to find some solace in his life that has been turned upside down. This scene was uncalled for, downright rude and an example of how due process today is being squashed by the public, trying to take it away in the courtroom too."

The spokesperson added that Weinstein had "suggested the woman should be allowed to talk and ask him any questions" but "the venue’s personnel asked the woman to leave, not Harvey's."

Weinstein himself said: "I am happy to address anyone's questions. We should all be offered the courtesy to voice opinions and be heard, and to even get answers. I am glad we all still have these rights."
