The 'Mad About You' alum is shaken and complains of pain after her SUV is being t-boned by another vehicle at the intersection of San Vicente and Tremaine Avenue.

AceShowbiz - Helen Hunt was hospitalized after being involved in a car accident in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 16. The 56-year-old actress was a passenger in a black SUV which crossed through an intersection at San Vicente and Tremaine Avenue when her vehicle got clipped by another car.
In CCTV footage obtained by TMZ, it appears that the driver of Helen's car thought he/she had a clear path to cross the intersection, before a white sedan came from another direction and struck the black SUV at the last moment. The collision sent Helen's car flipping and rolling over on its side.
Sources say the Academy Award-winning actress was a sole passenger and riding in the backseat of the car. She was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Bev Hills after complaining of pain. She, however, has left the hospital a few hours later after being examined by doctors.
A rep for Helen tells the site that she was left shaken after the accident, but suffered no major injuries. The status of the SUV driver and the driver of the other car involved in the collision is currently unknown. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department tells PEOPLE that the former "Mad About You" star was among a number of people who were transported to a local hospital.
No one was cited for the crash as the LAPD spokesperson says that police investigated the traffic incident and determined that there was no crime committed.
Helen became famous through her role as Jamie Buchman on the sitcom "Mad About You" (1992-1999), which earned her three Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards for lead actress in comedy series. She also starred in films like "Twister" (1996) and "Cast Away" (2000).
