'SNL': Phoebe Waller-Bridge Says She's Psychopath and Very Much Like Fleabag

When serving as a host during the October 5 episode of 'Saturday Night Life', the 'Fleabag' actress jokes that she's mentally unstable for writing 'Killing Eve' and has many similarities with her TV character.

AceShowbiz - Phoebe Waller-Bridge feels a deep affection for her "Fleabag" character - because she is modelled on herself.

The 34-year-old actress plays the titular character in the hit BBC series, about an angry, confused, sexually voracious woman living in London, and scored two surprise Emmy wins last month for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Comedy Series.

And while hosting U.S. comedy show "Saturday Night Live" on October 5, Phoebe joked fans who think she must be just like Fleabag are spot on with their comparisons.

"People often assume I am like the character Fleabag simply because I wrote it - sexually depraved, foul-mouthed, dangerous…and I always have to say to them, 'Yes, you're absolutely right!'" she laughed.

"In fact, everything I write has a degree of truth and every project is different. I'm not a sex addict because I wrote Fleabag but I did write 'Killing Eve' because I'm a psychopath!"

The actress has also insisted the Emmy victories haven't changed her mind about wrapping up "Fleabag" after only two seasons.

"It feels right to go out on a high, and you can't get higher than this," she told Entertainment Tonight.
