AceShowbiz - "The Walking Dead"'s Jeffrey Dean Morgan is sticking with the supernatural and will lead the upcoming screen adaptation of "Shrine".
Based on the novel by James Herbert, the story centres on a disgraced journalist who uncovers a series of seemingly divine miracles and begins covering the story as a way of reviving his career. But his comeback is short lived when he learns the occurrences may be the result of a darker source.
Evan Spiliotopoulos will direct and pen the screenplay.
Morgan is no stranger to sinister material - in addition to the zombie invasion series, he has also appeared on "Supernatural" and the 2012 film "The Possession".
