AceShowbiz - Nick Cannon has spoken up after Christina Milian revealed that she caught him cheating on her during their relationship by hacking into his phone. Sharing his side of the story, the actor/rapper believes that he didn't do anything wrong to her because they had to be in a relationship to cheat in the first place.
"I don't think I did anything wrong. I wasn't cheating, you got to be in a relationship to cheat," the 38-year-old TV personality defended himself on his Power 106 radio show "Nick Cannon Mornings". "We not going to get into the details but I would say the way I believe if, she went through my phone and all that, and back then is what I told her and I will tell her now, but if you go looking for something you gone find something."
The former "America's Got Talent" host went on suggesting that didn't even try to hide his relationship with the other woman because he wanted to get caught. He claimed, "And I'm going to tell you this, if a man, I'll speak for myself, if I am careless enough to allow myself to get caught then that means I wanted to get caught. The word is careless, you know what careless means...I could care less. I was at an age where I didn't care."
Christina, who dated Nick from 2003 until 2005, recently said on E! News' digital series "Just the Sip" that she found out he wasn't faithful to her after she read his text messages. "When I was dating Nick Cannon, the password somehow worked on the first check and I was right and the next thing you know, I was reading for like a month. I was reading messages," the 37-year-old singer/actress said.
She went on sharing, "I was stuck in Romania. I had time. I cannot bust him when I am away. I need to bust him in person so in the meantime, I'm going to get my intel, make sure this is for real for real and it was for real so it was enough."
Christina admitted she waited a month before confronting Nick about it because she had a hard time imagining her life without her "first love." She explained, "We were just so close that I think at that time, I couldn't deal with the idea that if we ended up breaking up, I wasn't going to get to see him again."
"So I wanted to be able to see him in person, go over it -- not like it would change anything -- but part of me was like, he was kind of like my first love at that time," she continued. "It was unreal that it was happening. He was living at my house, everything. It was just like, 'Wait, under my roof this is happening?' It just kind of blew me away."
In 2012, Nick apologized to Christina for what he did to her at the time. "If I didn't say it before, I do apologize," he said during a radio interview. "I'm sorry for the things that I did. We was young. I was young, I was silly."
