AceShowbiz - "Basketball Wives" cast members filmed for season 8 reunion special over the weekend and it seemed like it would be full of drama. The reunion, which was hosted by Marc Lamont Hill, saw the cast gathering to talk about what had happened throughout the season, but viewers might notice one member missing. It was reported that Ogom Chijindu a.k.a. OG was banned from the filming.
According to MTO News, OG was banned by co-stars Shaunie O'Neal and Evelyn Lozada. The site claimed that when OG arrived for filming, she was told by security that she couldn't join everyone else on stage to film the special episode, which reportedly used her as the biggest storyline. Instead, OG was brought into a room where she sat in front of a camera.
As for why OG was banned, a producer revealed it was because "both Shaunie and Evelyn felt that OG was too aggressive, and they didn't feel comfortable being on set with her." OG confirmed the news on Instagram, alluding that she was given unfair treatment because of her dark skin.
The VH1 star shared a screenshot picture of a message which was sent by one of her fans. The fans appeared to be excited after securing a ticket for the reunion only to be made disappointed when his favorite star wasn't allowed onstage.
"I really shouldn't be this invested, but I'm so disappointed. Disappointed in the cast, disappointed in the audience of other BLACK people, me being the only person who raised their hand to agree with you on the colorism/double standard topic," he wrote. "Everyone was so dismissive, the host was BIAS and the fact that they put you in a separate room was just so gross."
"I know we don't know each other like that, but I genuinely hope you're okay after all that s**t. Just really in disbelief," the fan said. OG posted the picture and wrote in the caption, "THANK YOU SO MUCH @kevinbobbyyy."
Meanwhile, Tami Roman and Cece Guiterrez didn't attend the reunion.
