They made the announcement on Instagram Stories, revealing the reason why the two had not posted any new videos on YouTube lately. "We have wanted to make a video to address why we haven't been Vlogging together but the truth is, it was just too painful and that's why we have been silent on the topic," they wrote. "We have recently made the painful decision to separate and through this hard time we would like to thank you in advance for respecting our privacy."

In the statement, Jamie and Nikki additionally denied rumors that the former's alleged infidelity was what caused the split. "We would also like to jointly say that any rumors that have been started about why we have parted ways are completely false," they added, thanking those who had been "reaching out to us with love and concern over the past month."

Besides Instagram Stories, Jamie and Nikki also posted the announcement on their YouTube channel.

Many fans of the couple were heartbroken over the news and refused to believe it. "Nah how can Jamie and Nikki break up???? They practically just built a whole new house together!! What's next," one said, while another admitted to "tearing up" every time she remembered about the breakup. "Like I truly loved them together it saddens me but everything happens for a reason. I wish them both the best," the user added.

"Honestly if Jamie and Nikki can't make it what hope is there for the rest of us. I'm in distress, disarray, distraught af," someone else said. There was also one who commented, "Jamie and Nikki Perkins broke up LOVE IS DEAD REAL LOVE IS A FANTASY 12 YEAR OLD ME IS CRYING."

Jamie and Nikki, who is a Sudanese model, got married six years ago. They have two daughters, Ava and Zoe, together and have been really transparent about their marriage life.
