Cardi B's Indianapolis Show Axed at Last Minute Due to 'Unverified Threat'

Taking to her social media accounts, the 'Bodak Yellow' hitmaker apologizes to fans for canceling her show at last minutes because she has never dealt with this kind of situation before.

AceShowbiz - Those who were excited to see Cardi B onstage in Indianapolis on Tuesday night, July 30 were left disappointed after the rapper canceled her gig just minutes before showtime. Taking to her social media accounts to address the cancellation, Cardi revealed that she had no choice but to scrap the show because of safety reason.

Alongside a video of her rehearsing inside the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Cardi said on Instagram, "Dear Indiana people I'm so sorry for today .I will like to let you know I was at the venue I was even rehearsing a new move I been excited to do on my show. Unfortunately there was a security threat that is currently under investigation right now. My safety and your safety first."

She continued, "I want to thank the promoters we have already rescheduled the show. Im so sorry guys I never dealt with a situation like this before and I'm not taking any chances.I love you guys."

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department also confirmed news about the threat on its Twitter account. "This evening, there was a scheduled concert at Bankers Life. We were notified of an unverified threat to the artist and the artist canceled this evening's concert - there is no immediate threat to public safety, this is not an active incident. Ongoing investigation," so the statement read.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed news about the threat.

The show has now been rescheduled to September 11. Fans who are unable to attend the show can receive refunds.

Her Indianapolis show was intended to be a part of Cardi's six-date arena tour that began on July 23 and included stops in Oklahoma, Kansas and Minneapolis. The mini tour is set to end on Wednesday in Charlottesville, Virginia. Meanwhile, her rescheduled show will fall between a September 7 show in Syracuse, New York and the Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta. Held on September 14-15, the event has Cardi, Travis Scott (II) and Panic at the Disco among the headliners.
