HBO bosses have announced that David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will no longer be a part of the fan event along with director Miguel Sapochnik as well as stars Iain Glen and Nathalie Emmanuel.

AceShowbiz - "Game of Thrones" creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have bailed on a planned cast reunion panel at Comic-Con on Friday, July 19.

The pair was billed to be part of the fan event in San Diego, California, but HBO bosses have announced plans have changed and now they'll no longer appear.

Director Miguel Sapochnik and castmates Iain Glen and Nathalie Emmanuel have also been wiped from the panel.

It is not clear why the quintet is no longer appearing, but the final season of the show wasn't popular among many fans, who petitioned HBO bosses to reshoot the last six episodes without Weiss and Benioff.

Friday's reunion panel will still feature Jacob Anderson, Liam Cunningham, Conleth Hill, John Bradley, and 2019 Emmy Award nominees Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Maisie Williams, among others.

This year's Comic-Con four-day convention begins on Thursday.
