The 'Only Girl (In the World)' singer rocks a Fenty shirt with the powerful message on it when landing in her native Barbados, after previously speaking out against Donald Trump's immigration policies.

AceShowbiz - Rihanna is reminding everyone that America is the land of immigrants. Just in time for the Fourth of July, the R&B singer stepped out with a shirt that sent a powerful message to criticize President Donald Trump's immigration policies.

The 31-year-old star [u=https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-7214711/Rihanna-rocks-braids-futuristic-shades-carrying-Louis-Vuitton-tote-Barbados.html[u] from her own Fenty collection with the word "Immigrant" emblazoned across the back and the word's origin printed on the front when she landed in her native Barbados on Thursday, July 4. She opted for comfort with black training pants and white sneakers, while she had a Louis Vuitton scarf wrapped around her neck.

Rihanna launched the sold-out design as part of her most recent Fenty collection to show her stance on Trump's controversial immigration policy and the current crisis at the border. "For me, it’s a prideful word," she explained to The Cut about the word "immigrant" on the shirt. "To know that you can come from humble beginnings and just take over whatever you want to, dominate at whatever you put your mind to. The world becomes your oyster, and there's no limit."

She went on sharing, "Wherever I go, except for Barbados, I'm an immigrant. I think people forget that a lot of times. I think they see Rihanna the brand. But I think it's important for people to remember, if you love me, everyone out here is just like me. A million Rihannas out there, getting treated like dirt."

The "Umbrella" singer also said backstage at the BET Awards in late June that everyone has to "be as loud as you can" when it comes to protecting immigrant rights. "I think in any situation where something as devastating as what's happening in America right now with the immigrants you have to be as loud as you can and you have to raise as much awareness," she told The Root.

She continued, "As a nation, put all your heads together and put your voices together and be as loud as possible because that's the only way politicians in the government actually listen when they feel like their country is as concerned as the matter is concerning."
