The 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' songstress refuses to take the blame for causing the social media site to crash with her announcement about her new album and song.

AceShowbiz - Instagram temporarily broke on Thursday, June 13, the same day Taylor Swift revealed details of her upcoming seventh album "Lover" on IG Live and announced that her new single, "You Need to Calm Down", would be released on midnight. With the frenzy following her announcement, the "Me!" hitmaker has been blamed as the culprit of IG's temporary shutdown.

Taking to other platforms, fans jokingly called out the 29-year-old singer/songwriter for causing the social media site to crash. "When you’re pretty sure your boss broke Instagram," one wrote on Twitter. Another posted on Tumblr, "Taylor broke Instagram this is so funny."

Noticing people's speculation about her role in the technical issue faced by IG, Taylor didn't stay quiet. Responding to the fan's comment on Tumblr, the country-turned-pop-superstar denied her involvement in the IG crash. "I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative," she wrote. She jokingly blamed her fans instead, writing in hashtags, "I DID NOT BREAK THE INSTAGRAM," "YALL BROKE THE INSTAGRAM."

The fan found her response so funny and shared a screengrab of the exchange on Instagram. She continued the playful banter, writing in the caption, "SHE CAN FIGHT ME. SHE BROKE THE INSTAGRAM. (I LOVE HER)."

During her Instagram Live, Taylor announced that her new album "Lover" would be available on streaming services on August 23, while "You Need to Calm Down", the second single off the record after "Me!", is coming on June 14, with the music video dropping on June 17 on "Good Morning America".

Describing her new album as "very romantic," the Grammy Award-winning artist also unveiled the cover art of "Lover". She said that not all songs in the album are about love, though. "Not just simply thematically," she explained. "You can find romance in loneliness or sadness."

In addition to the standard physical CD, there will also be four deluxe editions of "Lover" available via Target. Each deluxe edition will include different content. She also revealed a collaboration with designer Stella McCartney, who will release fashions inspired by the music of Lover.
