The singer got people talking on Thursday morning, May 16 after he posted a black-and-white photo of baby's foot resting against his hand, sparking speculations that he might be welcoming a child. He didn't write anything in the caption of the post, simply leaving a blue heart emoji.
While Trey didn't confirm nor deny whether the baby is his, the comments that he received from fellow celebrities appeared to confirm that the baby is indeed Trey's. Among those who sent well wishes was his rumored ex-girlfriend, Lori Harvey. "Awww that little foot happy for you T!!!" the daughter of Steve Harvey wrote underneath the photo.
Considering their romantic past, her comment naturally garnered attention, with many speculating that him having a baby might be the reason for their split. "Was this the reason y'all ended your relationship," one asked. Some others, meanwhile, thought that Lori was being "bitter" and "petty" over the baby news.
Other famous names who congratulated Trey on his alleged baby included Kehlani and Kevin Hart. "finally HAHAAAAA YES!!!" the songstress wrote, while the comedian simply commented, "Congratz champ."
Should the baby really belong to Trey's, that leaves one question unanswered. Who is the mother of the child? It has been speculated that the "Na Na" singer might be sharing the baby with adult film star Brittney Jones, who posted a sonogram in December last year and claimed that the baby belonged to Trey.
Trey has previously expressed his desire to have a baby in an interview. "Man I want kids. I've been wanting children before you could even imagine," he said during radio show "The Breakfast Club" in 2015. "I raised all the kids in my family. My younger brother, he's 20 years old, he just had his first child. I remember when he was a child, I used to burp him, change his diapers, now he got a baby, so..."
At the time though, he said that he was in no rush to become a father. "I'm not in a rush to do it because people think that's what should be happening in my life or that I need kids or my momma been begging me for a grand baby or any of that," he said. "I just want to make sure that it's the right decision."
