Despite his effort to save the Brazilian model after she fell from their yacht, Jorge Sestini is accused by Sao Sebastiao police of putting her life at risk by ignoring warnings of dangerously high winds.

AceShowbiz - The husband of Brazilian model Caroline Bittencourt has been charged with manslaughter following her drowning death last month (April 2019).

The 37-year-old fell from the couple's yacht in a storm and now Jorge Sestini is accused of setting sail on a catamaran on 29 April, despite warnings of dangerously high winds.

Sestini, who jumped into the ocean after his wife in a desperate effort to save her, will be hit with criminal charges for "negligently" putting her life at risk.

"We believe Jorge risked the life of Caroline and himself when he apparently ignored warnings about the impending bad weather," Sao Sebastiao police detective Vanderley Pagliarini said, revealing he has evidence to suggest Sestini was alerted to the dire conditions at sea before he set sail.
