Scott Speer Released From Police Custody After Arrest for Arson

The 'Step Up Revolution' director has found himself arrested following an alleged domestic dispute with his wife Michelle McLaughlin during which he reportedly set a broomstick on fire.

AceShowbiz - Director Scott Speer has reportedly been arrested for arson.

The filmmaker and music video director, perhaps best known for making 2012's "Step Up Revolution", was arrested at his San Fernando Valley, California home last week, ends April 21, according to TMZ.

Editors at the website report that police officers and firefighters were called to the property over an alleged domestic dispute between Speer and his wife Michelle McLaughlin, which culminated in the 36-year-old reportedly setting fire to a broomstick with the "intention of lighting up the whole house."

However, firefighters were able to extinguish any flames, and Speer was arrested.

Facing a felony charge for arson, he has since posted a bond of $250,000 (£192,000) and been released from custody. Speer has not yet commented on the TMZ report.
