A representative for the TV talk show host claims that her husband of more than two decades, who has been rumored to have a baby with his mistress, is 'supportive' of her decision.

AceShowbiz - U.S. talk show host Wendy Williams has filed for divorce from her husband of more than two decades.

The outspoken TV personality, 54, had Kevin Hunter served with court papers on Thursday, April 11, while he was at the New York studio where she tapes "The Wendy Williams Show", for which he serves as an executive producer.

The split appears to be amicable, as a representative for Williams tells TMZ, "Kevin is supportive of Wendy and they are working through this process together."

The news emerges two weeks after reports suggested Hunter's longtime mistress, Sharina Hudson, had given birth to his baby while Williams was living in a sober home, battling substance abuse issues.

The star had repeatedly dismissed rumours of Hunter's infidelity in recent months, insisting she stands by her man.

Williams and Hunter, 46, wed in November 1997 and share a 19-year-old son, named Kevin Jr.
